Fajita Mix
Ingredients:
4 TSP Chili Powder
3 TSP Cumin
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Dried Oregano
1/2 TSP Seasoned Salt
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Blend well. Sprinkle generously over either steak or chicken to season (NOTE - you'll have seasoning left over. Transfer the remaining seasoning to a shaker to use at a later date.). Rub a thin coat of olive oil over the meat, and then sprinkle the rub over the meat. This will not only help the seasoning to stay on the meat, but will also add another level of flavor to the cooked steak or chicken.
This mix also works great as a seasoning for cooked veggies (bell pepper, sweet peppers and red onion) that go in the fajitas. Toss the sliced veggies in a large bowl with some olive oil, and generously sprinkle the rub over the veggies. Mix well, and grill veggies until tender.
